Intro Plant-Based Transition Course

This is an intro course meeting for 6 weeks on HOW to transition to a more plant-based diet, as well as the WHY. Each week we will cover different topics such as (there is an intermediate course that meets following this class):
1) Nutrient Density vs Caloric Density, what should we be eating? Diet tracking
2) How to read a food label/sodium/processed foods (macro nutrients)
3) Heart Disease: High Cholesterol/Blood Pressure and foods that cause it
4) Fiber, why you need it and how to get it
5) Swap This For That; meal planning
6) How To Order Out
Each week will include a sample recipe, made quickly for you during class. One week we will travel out of class to a supermarket.
Cost of all 6 classes is $150.
